The flathead snapping shrimp or red snapping shrimp, Alpheus bisincisus, is a species of snapping shrimp found in the Indo-West Pacific oceans. Its length is up to 35 mm.
The flathead snapping shrimp is found in tropical bays or lagoons, usually below sponges or stones. This species does not burrow, unlike most of the species belonging to this family. It has claws that are strongly asymmetrical, the larger can produce a strong snapping sound.
Coloration is reddish, with white joints on the legs.
