Spoiler warning: Plot and/or ending details follow.

It is a week from Polly Pepper's birthday and she will receive the "Ice Garden" a beautiful diamond necklace. She had been in New York just prior to her arrival and she had a "more than extraordinary" trip. She is revealed to be a flapper. She then meets with her "posse" and discusses the events. They agree she is very lucky. She has also made a new boyfriend, Buck Wayne. She is living with her Aunt in Southampton, New York. She prepares for her birthday, but at the last minute she receives a telegram from Mr. Flo Ziegfeld. Mr. Ziegfeld was famous in the 1920s for his wonderful chorus girls and the shows they put on. Her boyfriend takes her on his plane to New York and she makes it back just in time. She celebrates her birthday but at the end is criticized by her longtime enemy, Susan Stuyvesant-Fish, who says the necklace is glass. She then agrees and says that it is in a vault at the Chase Manhattan Bank. She foils the plans of two different groups of con-men and mobsters. She lives happily ever after.

Spoilers end here.
