Flail

A flail is:
- An agricultural instrument, used for threshing, see flail (agriculture)
- A cutting part of a brush hog, wood chipper or stump grinder, made with two or more pivoting blades or hammers mounted to the edge of a spinning flywheel, and arranged to swing into contact with the materials to be cut or shredded.
- A medieval weapon, see flail (weapon)
- An instrument for corporal punishment, see flail (punishment) (see this also for weapons not similar to the previous called 'flail')
- A vehicle mounted device for removing land mines, see Mine flail.
