Flag of Donetsk Oblast

The flag of Donetsk Oblast, Ukraine is the official flag of the Ukrainian province of Donetsk. It was designed by Mello Luchtenberg and Valery M. Napytkin on November 19, 2000, and officially adopted on August 17, 1999.
The flag consists of a rectangular canvas with a ratio of the sides, 3:2 divided horizontally. There is a rising yellow sun with 12 sunlight beams in the upper blue part of flag [resebeling the sky]. In the lower black part [resembling a sea] there are five yellow ovals one under another [the reflection of the sun on a water surface].
