Fjerritslev is a municipality (Danish, kommune) in North Jutland County on the northwest coast of the Jutland peninsula in northern Denmark. The municipality covers an area of 290 km², and has a total population of 8,480 (2005). Its mayor is Otto Kjær Larsen, a member of the Venstre (Liberal Party) political party.

The main town and the site of its municipal council is the town of Fjerritslev.

Neighboring municipalities with land connection are Brovst to the east, Hanstholm and Thisted to the west, and Løgstør to the south. Because Fjerritslev municipality is located on the north shore of the Limfjord, the waterway that separates the main body of the Jutland peninsula from the island of Vendsyssel-Thy, its southern municipal neighbor Nibe, and partially also Løgstør which is actually split by the fjord, partially located south of it and partially north, is separated from Fjerritslev by the waters of Agger Strait (Agger Sund).

By January 1, 2007 Fjerritslev municipality will cease to exist as the result of Kommunalreformen ("The Municipality Reform" of 2007). It will be merged with existing Brovst, Pandrup, and Aabybro municipalities to form the new Jammerbugt municipality. This will create a municipality with an area of 863 km² and a total population of 38,864 (2005). The new municipality will belong to the new Region Nordjylland ("North Jutland Region").
