Fjære

Fjære is a former municipality in Aust-Agder county, Norway.

It was created by a split from Øyestad in 1846. At that time Fjære had a population of 2,806. Parts of Fjære were moved to the neighboring municipality Grimstad in 1878 and 1960.

On 1 January 1964 the rest of Fjære was incorporated into Grimstad. Prior to the merger Fjære had a population of 6.189.
