Talk:Fire marshal

Is currently heavily biased WRT New York. I segregated that info and added a little more general info, but it needs more info. Thanx 68.39.174.91 7 July 2005 03:10 (UTC)h
[edit] Beam mayor in 1965
The article inaccurately indicated that Robert O. Lowery was sworn in by Mayor Abe Beame in 1965. Beame didn't become mayor until 1974. I Googled and apperently Lowery did become Fire Commisioner in 1965 and was probably sworn in by mayor Robert F. Wagner Jr. but since I don't know that for sure I left that out. Beame was NYC comptroller in 1965 and it's conceiveable he swore in Lowery.
P.S. Whoever wrote that if you're reading this please be less careless with your facts in the future. Lenbrazil 00:46, 17 May 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Added Image
As per the request for image page, I have added an image to this article. If it is unsatisfactory, I took a few others at the same location and would be more than willing to post them. If other types are needed, just let me know and I'll do my best to get them. Whitaker@ufl.edu 03:25, 18 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Article name
I propose moving this article to: [[Fire marshal] since Fire Marshal is not a proper noun, and can have one of a few meanings, add your thoughts/vote below: Escaper7 23:30, 16 January 2007 (UTC)
- I don’t see much need for discussion. I changed all the article text to common-noun status nearly five months ago and there’ve been no objections to it since. I’d move it myself, but Fire marshal already has a non-trivial edit history. --Rob Kennedy 04:50, 17 January 2007 (UTC)

- I moved the article. The other article consisted of only two sentences and since it was not redirected by the merger, I doubt that a merge ever took place. -- Kjkolb 12:08, 22 January 2007 (UTC)
