First Duel, known in Japan as The Elegant Harpy Lady (Japanese: 華麗なるハーピィ・レディ Kareinaru Hāpi Redi) is episode 6 of the second Yu-Gi-Oh! anime series (titled Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters in East Asia).
The episode was first broadcast in Japan on May 23, 2000 and in the United States on November 3, 2001.

In his first duel on the island, Joey duels Mai Valentine, a pro duelist who uses Harpie Lady as her prime monster. But even more dangerous than Mai's Harpies is her ability to predict every card she'll draw.
