Firebird (trumpet)

The Firebird is a type of trumpet with both valves and a trombone-style slide intended for jazz music. It was invented by Maynard Ferguson and remains an exceptionally rare, specialist instrument. They are occasionally produced by Holton[1] as the "Holton Firebird".[2]
