Fire Serpent is a 2007 Scifi Channel film.

A solar flare hits earth and unleashes a snake-like creature made of fire. The creature enters a person's body and controls them, once its host is of no more use it incinerates its host and moves onto the next host in a search for fuel to keep it burning. Some firemen will attempt to stop the Fire Serpent before it leaves the earth a scorched wasteland.
