Fiona Keys (born 27 February in Melbourne, Australia) is an Australian mezzo soprano of Chinese Irish descent.

Vocally trained by the world famous Russian soprano Alexandra Beri and coached by pianist Lisa Yaroshevich, she recently took a break from the world of opera and starred in the first Australian production of Carmen, the Musical, an English adaptation of Bizet's immortal work, receiving exciting reviews.

Her love affair with music revealed itself early in her life, when she was cast in the title role of Oliver in a school production, but the real turning point occurred when she first heard the aria "Recitar....Vesti la giubba" from Leoncavallo's Pagliacci. Canio's longing outcry, performed by the great Italian tenor, Mario del Monaco, featured in the soundtrack of a long since forgotten movie, made her realize of the existence of a musical genre to which she had not ben exposed before.

The productions in which she has performed include Kismet, La Boheme, Un ballo in mascheraand Falstaff.

Her debut in a principal role was as Lola in Cavalleria Rusticana; she then went on to sing the parts of Zerlina in Don Giovanni, Mercedes in Carmen, Inez in Il Trovatoreand Maddalena in Rigoletto.

She has sung alongside some of Australia's best known singers, such as Roxane Hislop, Roger Howell, Gary Rowly and Geoff Harris and world class conductors such as David Kram, Richard Gill and Armando Krieger .
