[edit] Dust, Bacteria, Virus and Mould (DBVM) Clean Tent Reference Design
[edit] What is the DBVM Clean Tent Reference Design?
The answer is that this is a novel flexible isolator, a clean tent, which gives protection from Dust, Bacteria, Viruses and Moulds (As well as VOCs - Volatile Organic Compounds). Application areas include the Pharmaceutical, Microbiological and Nuclear industries. It also demonstrates the benefits of the Flow C3 Systems, Sizergh controller in a practical application and in an understandable way.
There are two key elements of technology, which come together in the DBVM clean tent. They are:
- The Flow C3 Systems, Sizergh controller.
- The Air Manager, Close Coupled Field filter unit.
[edit] DBVM Clean Tent Reference Design Features are:
- Protection from Dust, Bacteria, Viruses and Moulds (As well as neutralising VOCs).
- A freestanding, self-contained, selectable Control set.
- A disposable tent when dirty. The Control set is retained for use with next clean tent.
- Class 1 or Class 2 isolation ability. Class 1 or Class 2 depends upon whether there is a positive, over pressure (Class 1) or negative, under pressure (Class 2) in the isolator. In layman’s terms, this means:
-
- Selectable10-45 Pascal over pressure control.
or
-
- Selectable10-30 Pascal over pressure control and Selectable 1.5 to 9 air changes per minute.
or
-
- Selectable 10-45 Pascal under pressure control.
or
-
- Selectable 10-30 Pascal under pressure control and Selectable 1.5 to 9 air changes per minute.
- Exceptional single pass kill rate and filtration.
- Display and Log of pressure performance (and flow, as required.
- Adjustment of selection or dynamic performance without PLC software validation.
- Serial or Bluetooth interface to PDA, Laptop or PC for selection, adjustment or download, as required.
- Internet connectivity and Alarms via e-mail, as required.
- ATEX Compliant, as required.
- Exempt from CFR 21, Part 11 electronic records.
- Low energy consumption - filter DeltaP an order of magnitude lower than HEPA.
