Someone audit the change to the number of children. Was this a malicious change? -- Ram-Man

Many fans do not like Finarfin for several reasons:

  1. He is emotional and spiritual, not strong and self-willed (This is described in Unfinished Tales, which states that all desendants of Finwë were proud, strong, and self-willed save Finarfin).
  2. He refused to go to Middle-earth after the Doom of Mandos was pronounced.

[edit] Finarfin, Wise or a Coward?

No offence but i think Finarfin is a coward. I mean both his brothers went to Middle-Earth to avenge thier father (Feanor also wanted the Silmarrilli back, & Fingolfin not to abandon the Noldor to Feanor) and he turned back and in essence abandon his brothers when he could of helped them in the wars of beleriand. Yeah there's a good chance that even if he would of went it wouldn't of made a difference. But i know that if any of my family members did anything like that i would follow them to the end, even if i think it's foolish or whatever. I mean i believe there's nothing thicker than blood. And in my eyes he's a Traitor and a coward not worthy of being mentioned in the same sentence as Feanor or Fingolfin.
