Finnish Film Archive

The Finnish Film Archive (Finnish: Suomen elokuva-arkisto; Swedish: Finlands filmarkiv) is a Finnish government institution under the Ministry of Education. Its purpose is to acquire, restore and conserve films and film-related material. It engages in and supports film research and promotes the knowledge of cinema. It also presents cinematographically, historically or otherwise significants films.
Its movie theater Orion is situated in Eerikinkatu/Eriksgatan 15 in Helsinki. In addition to regular screenings in Orion, the Finnish Film Archive also arranges screenings elsewhere in Finland.
