Finne Jager

Finne Jager, born in Nieuwegein, (The Netherlands) on December 6th 1984, is an up-and-coming trance music DJ. He is commonly known by the pseudonym Phynn, and he is currently gaining popularity through promotion by DJ's such as Tiesto, Ferry Corsten, and Armin van Buuren.

In 2000, Finne was introduced to trance music when hearing the track Superstring by Cygnus X. Finding the style extremely interesting, he started exploring the possibilities of making trance music, practicing heavily. He first gained notoriety in an Ernesto vs. Bastian remix contest with his friend Gerwin Koudijs under the Mind Markers guise. Out of hundreds of contestants, Finne and Gerwin ended second in the competition. Finne got in touch with Ernesto vs. Bastian and Sony's FTM label and did further remix work for the duo, remixing hits such as Stop 9.5 and The Starter. In the second half of 2004, Finne (now commonly known as Phynn) decided to make a track with his good friend Bart Van Wissen, known through his pseudonym, Fictivision. The result was 'Escape' (released on DJ Tiësto's Black Hole Recordings), a track that introduced both Phynn and Fictivision onto the international trance map. After this record, Finne produced a few well-received remixes and solo EP's for Black Hole, and he is currently an exclusive artist at Black Hole Recordings. Finne was introduced to the 'big audience' performing live at Tiësto @ Heineken Music Hall, December 3rd 2005. In January 2006 Finne was chosen Future Hero 2006 by Mixmag. In this year he also released his first mixcompilation 'In Trance We Trust 11'. And with the release of the 11th edition of this highly successful series Finne follows the footsteps of Misja Helsloot, Cor Fijneman, Ton T.B., Mark Norman, Stigma, Johan Gielen and Lars Holte.
