Fingers Cut Megamachine

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Fingers Cut Megamachine (alternately Fingers-Cut, Megamachine!) is a Los Angeles-based indie/folk rock band led by Devon Williams, formerly of the Southern California punk band Osker. Fingers Cut Megamachine draw influences from indie, pop, country music, as well as traditional American acoustic folk music. Although frequently compared with Iron & Wine, Wilco, and Bright Eyes, Fingers Cut Megamachine's sound is uniquely characteristic.

On June 12th, 2006, Devon Williams announced the band's official website was « done forever » [1]. In July and August, he toured (and sold a demo with new material) under his own name instead of the FCM moniker. Dave Benitez is now part of a new project called The Black Heartthrobs. The future of Fingers Cut Megamachine may therefore be uncertain.
