The Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) designation is a certification mark for financial planners conferred by the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards. To receive authorization to use the designation, the candidate must meet education, examination, experience and ethics requirements, and pay an ongoing certification fee.

Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) is a professional designation offered by the CFA Institute (formerly known as AIMR) to financial analysts who complete a series of three examinations and work for at least four years in the investment decision making process. CFA charterholders are also obliged to adhere to a strict Code of Ethics and Standards governing their professional conduct.

The CFA Institute is headquartered in the United States Of America at Charlottesville, Virginia with offices in Hong Kong and London. Formerly known as the Association for Investment Management and Research (AIMR), the Institute awards the prestigious Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.

CSI Global Education Inc.(CSI), formerly known as the Canadian Securities Institute, was started as the educational body of the IDA (Investment Dealers Associations of Canada). CSI has the exclusive mandate to provide many of the courses and exams required to work within the securities industry in Canada. CSI offers, among others, the Canadian Securities Course (CSC), the first course required to become a securities broker or investment advisor within the Canadian securities industry.
