I don't think Wikipedia should categorize non-FF-specific things in here (Quetzalcoatl, Odin, Shiva, Ifrit, etc.). It would be like categorizing Jesus in South Park characters. --Glimz 13:29, 20 December 2005 (UTC)

  • Yeah, I can see your issue with it. I won't object if you remove them from the category, but a list of links on the main article should be maintained because I imagine it would be informative to the reader to read about the gods and myths that their favourite summons are based on. However, if you notice in the category there are a few summons that have their own article (Anima, Gilgamesh). So if Odin, Shiva were to be removed from the Cat then I feel these articles should be merged into the main one. What do you think? Chanlord 22:56, 20 December 2005 (UTC)
  • Alright, I removed the general creatures and listed them in the category description for reference. The list in the main article is nice to have, of course. My personal opinion is that the remaining creature articles shouldn't be merged into the main one because they are quite big. They can be left here or moved to Final Fantasy creatures. Perhaps it would be best to follow the Bahamut-Bahamut (Final Fantasy) scheme if you want to include Final Fantasy details in an article about a mythical creature. Then you can categorize "<Creature> (fiction)" and add a "see also blabla (fiction)" link in the main article about <creature>. --Glimz 00:33, 21 December 2005 (UTC)

so why not move Bahamut and Gilgamesh to the upper section?
