I've amended the info on the Canadian VC and the English motto; the change to a Latin motto took place roughly 65 years or so after the award of Konowal's VC. Michael Dorosh 08:36, 26 November 2005 (UTC)

I've placed the London Gazette quotation in a <blockquote> tag. This breaks wikipedia's auto-paragraphs, so I've manually added <p> tags in the quotation. Sorry if you don't like the look of the wikitext, but please don't change it for no reason.

Using colons in front of each paragraph makes it look the same, but this makes each paragraph a separate definition list, with a single definition and no term! This is meaningless markup, and didn't even belong in web pages in 1995. It's not accessible, and is likely to break in handhelds, cell phones and page readers for the handicapped.

If you know how to start working on updating wikitext to make useful markup, please let me know. I realize there will be resistance, but we have to start somewhere.

There's a relevant wikipedia bug report: Bug 367
