Filton Abbey Wood railway station, (near Bristol, England) was opened on the 11 March 1996, replacing the original Filton station which stands to the north of the current site.
It was built by the Ministry of Defence (United Kingdom) to serve its nearby office complex. It has a passenger information system, and a portacabin that serves as a limited-hours ticket office. A self-service ticket machine is situated adjacant to the ticket office, on platform 1.
In 2004 a third platform was added to provide additional line capacity by having the South Wales and Bristol Parkway routes diverge before the station.
