Filmörnen (the Golden Eagle) is a Swedish film festival for shorts. Awarded annually by Värmlands Filmförbund since 1978, the founders where Erik Fasth and Kjell Bergström. Since 1998 it's also held by Film i Värmland (a regional center for film in Sweden).
The main reason for the festival, is to give local talent in the movie making of the Provinces of Värmland a public room to show their movies.
The biggest price is Filmörnen or in English the Golden Eagle-Award.
It's held annually in September.
