Filippo de Filippi (April 20, 1814 - February 9, 1867) was an Italian doctor, traveller and zoologist.

Filippi was born in Pavia. He succeeded Franco Andrea Bonelli as professor of zoology and comparative anatomy at the University of Turin. He was the director of the scientific group affiliated with the first official mission sent to Persia in 1862 in order to re-establish diplomatic relations between the two countries.

Filippi took part in a scientific voyage of global circumnavigation between 1865 and 1868. The voyage departed in October 1865 on board the Magenta, under the command of Vittorio Arminjon. Filippi died of cholera in Hong Kong, aged 52, during the voyage.

The scientific report was completed by his assistant, Enrico Hillyer Giglioli.
