The Philippines has produced six Cardinals from the time of Pope John XXIII.

Died 3 September 1973, Manila
Created cardinal priest in the consistory of March 28, 1960. Received the red hat and the title of S. Maria ai Monti, March 31, 1960
Born 18 September 1906, Calbayog Leyte
Died 2 June 1983, Cebu
Created cardinal priest in the consistory of April 28, 1969. Received the red biretta and the title of Sacro Cuore di Gesù a Vitinia, April 30, 1969.
Born 31 August 1928, New Washington Kalibo
Died 21 June 2005, San Juan
Created cardinal priest in the consistory of May 24, 1976. Received the red biretta and the title of S. Maria ai Monti, May 24, 1976.
Born 6 February 1931, Mogpoc Lucena
Created cardinal priest in the consistory of May 25, 1985. Received the red biretta and the title of Ss. Pietro e Paolo a Via Ostiense, May 25, 1985.
Born 17 March 1920, Pandan Virac
Created cardinal deacon in the consistory of June 28, 1991. Received the red biretta and the deaconry of S. Pio V a Villa Carpegna, June 28, 1991.
Born 10 August 1932, Batangas City
Created cardinal priest in the consistory of March 24, 2006. Received the red hat (biretta) from Pope Benedict XVI and Titolo del Santissimo Nome di Maria a Via Latina, March 24, 2006.
