Fili (Moscow)

Fili is a suburb of Moscow, Russia. The area houses the famous Fili park and the Church of the Intercession at Fili.

During Napoleon's invasion of Russia in 1812, the Russian general Kutuzov gathered his Generals to a meeting at the farmer A.S. Frolov's home in the village Fili, due west of Moscow.

In the 1920s, the Moscow - Fili Production Plant/State Aircraft Factory GAZ No.7 was located in Fili. It developed and manufactured Junkers aircraft after WWI for the Germans and the Soviets.
