"Minutes before the Canadians went on, Salé accidentally collided with Sikharulidze and was rather shaken."

I'm not sure what this sentence means. TheCoffee 3 July 2005 05:20 (UTC)

I remember watching this on TV. This was during the warm up skate with the final group of pairs teams in the long program. Sale was skating backwards and she didn't notice Sikharulidze was right in her path. They collided akwardly and Sale fell to the ice and was shaken up. People were wondering whether it would affect her long program, but she did just fine. --Madchester 20:08, 13 November 2005 (UTC)

There exists pages Xue Shen and Hongbo Zhao, but the names should actually be switched around to Shen Xue and Zhao Hongbo, as the Chinese put family names first. According to the naming conventions, we should follow that practice. I'm trying to find out how to get those article names changed. Fang Aili 19:17, 9 August 2005 (UTC)

International Skating Union convention lists all Chinese skaters by first then last name. They are referred to as such on officially result sheets and when announced before an event. Pairs and dance teams are colloquially referred to by their last names - Shen/Zhao, not Xue/Hongbo. See http://www.isufs.org/bios/fsbiospairs.htm for details. Vesperholly 10:07, 28 March 2006 (UTC)
