[edit] Early Years
The band formed in 1984, but disbanded shortly afterwards when rhythm guitarist Malcolm Buchanan left the band to form a jazz fusion 3-piece with Alan Samson and Pete Petrie.
[edit] Reformation
The original lead guitarists, David "DC" Clark and Roddy Shippin reunited in December 2003 and auditioned several potential singers before eventually inviting school friend Lewis Richardson ("Big Ric") to join the line up.
The band went on to record several memorable tracks including "Meditations on a Theme of Bumface" and "I Believe in a Thing Called Tung"; a parody of an original hit by the band The Darkness.
Vocalist Niall Duffin, who would go on to collaborate with the band over a decade later, is believed to have offered Buchanan a significant sum should he return, but negotiations dissolved with Duffin citing “communication difficulties,” as a contributory factor.
[edit] Intra-band Disputes
In January 2005, Roddy Shippin took David Clark to court in a high profile royalties battle, claiming that Clark was a "tone deaf poofter". Shippin has since retracted his statement, quipping "He's not really tone deaf".
[edit] New Material
As of January 2007, they have returned to the studio to begin a new album and the band have confirmed that a new single entitled “Boozeday, Bloody Tuesday” is due for release sometime in 2007. However, they have not indicated whether or not Richardson will be involved. There have also been recent rumours regarding the possibility of another Beatles tribute named 'Shabeau, Babeau'.
