Why the hell is there two paragraphs on employee's opinions on how their benefits changed after the Rogers acquisition? That's not remotely encyclopedia-worthy. --Westacular 00:42, 10 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Rogers dats only?

The acquisition of Microcell by Rogers Wireless has been somewhat of a controversy among customers as well as employees.
Some believe it to be a blessing while others are not happy with the transformation. As an example, Fido canceled their flat rate
data plan shortly after the acquisition, and with the Rogers/Fido GSM monopoly, wireless data access is very expensive in Canada
($100 / 200 MB at the "best" rate)

It is true that Rogers/Fido does have a GSM monopoly (had to keep the evil Telus off of it </biased rant>) but they are not the only providers of wireless data, and their rates are similar to other providers.

Telus does offer a 1024 mb plan but it is still $100 for 250 mb. Bell's best plan is $100 for 250 mb. Fido itself has $100 for 200 mb. Telus and Bell do offer "Unlimited Mobile Browsing" on phones (but not PDAs or Laptops) for less than $10 a month. I am having trouble finding info on Rogers data plans, every link for "data plans" forwards me to business voice plans. Kc4 17:35, 30 March 2007 (UTC)
