Ficarra is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Messina in the Italian region Sicily, located about 130 km east of Palermo and about 60 km west of Messina. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 1,749 and an area of 18.6 km2.[1]
The municipality of Ficarra contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Matini, Crocevia, Sauro, and Rinella.
Ficarra borders the following municipalities: Brolo, Naso, Sant'Angelo di Brolo, Sinagra.
