Hello, all.

I created this category out of a need (for some) to find disasters that have occurred in fiction. From the destruction of Alderaan in Star Wars, to the Crisis on Infinite Earths (in DC Comics lore), I'm trying to compile all the disasters in fiction that WP lists.

Obviously because what is fiction to one is faith to another, we're not going to take into account religious disasters, so stuff like Noah's Flood or Shiva's dance is out. Also, we'll have to take into account the differences between a disaster and the disasterous effects of war. I guess that means DC's Crisis, which would have happened regardless of the war between universes is in, while Marvel's Secret Wars would be out (note: I don't know much about that, so if there is a basis, please feel free to post it in).

Additionally, since disaster movies have their own category, so those wouldn't be needed. I don't think I would add 28 Days onto this list, but if there was a seperate category that talked about the disease there, I would. Thus this ties into the next point: there is some question of what pages would qualify for addition. For example, the entry on Alderaan (which I already added), is mainly about the planet but touches upon its destruction as well. Evangelion's Second Impact, which I have not added, is only a minor blurb on the Evangelion page. Lastly, DC's aforementioned Crisis, which is mainly about the disaster but also touches on that it was a comics miniseries, is added. What should be the point that an article qualifies for this category?

And finally, though I have this on my watch page, it would help if others watched this page lest some vandals decide to attach real-life disasters (eg, the Holocaust, the Trail of Tears, etc.) to it.
