Thanks again for all the work you have done on Roseann Quinn. I'm sorry you have been removing some of the content. I hope it's not a response to any edits. On Wikipedia, original research has a very specific meaning. It is not contributions made by you, but material that is not from a primary source (i.e. your own opinions, or unpublished material). I added back the IMDb links for that reason-- that is not original research as defined here. In addition, this article needs to be encyclopedic in tone, which means we have to adhere to neutral point of view. In this case, that means presenting the material in a dry, straightforward manner, without editorializing and without the stylistic feel of the true crime genre. Finally, you removed the Susan Brownmiller references, which is generally not done without a discussion on the talk page for an article. It's a published source, and even if you disagree with some of the statements made, we have to present all views in a neutral manner.

You have obviously read a lot about this case, and I hope you will continue to edit. I know it can be off-putting to have your text edited, but you must assume good faith on the part of all editors. We all want this article and every article here to be comprehensive, verifiable, reliable, and neutral. Again, thanks for all the great work you have done so far, and I look forward to continuing to improve this article according to established guidelines. I am sorry about reverting the image used under that title to the original photo of the Fox News Live anchor, but could you consider uploading the image to something like Rosannquinn.jpg instead. Chris (Talk) (Contribs) 02:22, 23 August 2006 (UTC)

I thought I had pointed out several times already that the image is public domain, as evidenced by the fact that three New York newspapers (the Times, the Daily News and the Post) used it without attribution. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
