[edit] Synopsis
The Moyans arrive on a Scarran base near Katratzi--all visitors to Katratzi must first stop there, and no weapons are allowed on the station, on pain of immediately death by DRDs. Sikozu has previously arrived to scope out the situation, and tells the Moyans that Aeryn, in Jenek's ship, is already there but is about to leave. Rygel devises the plan of causing a quarantine by claiming to be suffering from dermafollica, a highly contagious, deadly disease. Noranti then causes Rygel's inactive Dermafollica to become active, and he becomes sick and places everyone else on the station at risk. Scorpius, meanwhile, work on a plan--he portrays himself as a spy on a secret mission, and tries to get into Jenek's confidence. John decides to do things his own way, and approaches the Sebacean nurse who is in charge of Aeryn's care. He has disguised himself as a Peacekeeper, and claims to have the Sebacean cure for dermafollica. He's willing to share it with her if she has sex with him--he "doesn't do aliens." He gets admission to the ship and finds Aeryn. He knocks out the nurse and tries to free Aeryn, but she resists him, thinking he's an hallucination. John is quickly taken down by Jenek, who interrogates him with his heat ray. Scorpius gets John free. Meanwhile, Jenek worries that Aeryn might get dermafollica, and decides to kidnap Chiana, who, as a Nebari, is immune, and implant the fetus in her. Noranti is grabbed by the station's doctor, Trayso, to help with the procedure.
Meanwhile, Sikozu's plan is bearing fruit--she is working to get the main power cut off for the station, which will release all of their ships from lockdown, and allow them to bring weapons on the station and to Jenek's ship. They do so, John wounds Trayso and stops the fetus transfer at the last moment. John grabs an unconscious Aeryn while Noranti supports a drugged Chiana and they make their escape. Scorpius has been grabbed by Jenek, though, and the Moyans abandon him to his fate, to Sikozu's distress.
Safely back on Moya, John carries Aeryn to her quarters, as she looks around for confirmation that what she is seeing is real. When John turns to leave, she asks him to stay. The two share a quiet moment as she runs her fingers through his hair and he sleeps. Suddenly, he has a vision--Harvey is back! Scorius never got rid of him, he just implanted him with new orders, to stay quiet, and re-emerge if John were to betray Scorpius. Harvey tells John that Scorpius knows everything he knows, that is, everything about wormholes, and now Scorpius, being tortured by the Scarrans, will eventually reveal that to the Scarrans, so they need to go back and get him.
