I really don't think so. At least for what I could recall from festas juninas. Brazil has its own "country music style" (Sertanejo) and this is the often the music played at these parties. --Pinnecco 09:31, 7 September 2006 (UTC)

In the Northeast, forró is the main genre. And sertanejo is as Brazilian as Nashville. Macgreco 20:45, 4 March 2007 (UTC)
