Festivals Acadiens

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Festivals Acadiens is the collective name for a combination of festivals that pay tribute to the Cajun culture. The celebration is a cooperative of independent festivals that merged in 1977. The oldest single component of this cooperative is the Louisiana Native and Contemporary Crafts Festival (then named the Louisiana Native Crafts Festival), first presented October 28, 1972.

The 2006 festival is Friday, October 13 through Sunday, October 15 in Lafayette, Louisiana.
