"Fergus McDuck is probably the first (main) character to die in a Walt Disney cartoon." his wife died earlier. Isn't she a main character?--Mixcoatl 21:43, 26 Nov 2004 (UTC)

His wife's death is announced by a villain to an emprisoned Scrooge McDuck (The Life and Times of Scrooge McDuck #8).
Fergus' dead body (under bed sheets) is shown, but in a ghost-story-like manner (TLToSMD #9). Sebjarod 07:19, 14 October 2006 (UTC)
