Ferrisburgh is a town located in Addison County, Vermont. It was founded June 24, 1762. As of the 2000 census, the town had a total population of 2,657.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 158.4 km² (61.2 mi²). 123.9 km² (47.8 mi²) of it is land and 34.5 km² (13.3 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 21.80% water.

As of the census2 of 2000, there were 2,657 people, 1,014 households, and 751 families residing in the town. The population density was 21.5/km² (55.6/mi²). There were 1,415 housing units at an average density of 11.4/km² (29.6/mi²). The racial makeup of the town was 97.67% White, 0.19% African American, 0.41% Native American, 0.49% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.04% from other races, and 1.20% from two or more races. 0.56% of the population were Hispanic or Latino of any race.
There were 1,014 households out of which 33.5% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 63.5% were married couples living together, 6.4% had a female householder with no husband present, and 25.9% were non-families. 19.0% of all households were made up of individuals and 6.5% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.62 and the average family size was 2.99.
In the town the population was spread out with 24.9% under the age of 18, 5.9% from 18 to 24, 30.5% from 25 to 44, 27.3% from 45 to 64, and 11.3% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 39 years. For every 100 females there were 97.3 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 95.0 males.
The median income for a household in the town was $53,672, and the median income for a family was $61,111. Males had a median income of $32,367 versus $26,597 for females. The per capita income for the town was $23,066. 5.5% of the population and 2.4% of families were below the poverty line. 5.3% of those under the age of 18 and 12.1% of those 65 and older were living below the poverty line.

Ferrisburgh has one school, Ferrisburgh Central School, which has grades K to 6. Students then move on to Vergennes Union High School.

Ferrisburgh is home to the Rokeby museum, a site on the underground railroad. The Lake Champlain Maritime museum is located in Basin Harbor village of Ferrisburgh.
