Fernando Baptista de Seixas Peyroteo (born March 10, 1918 in Humpata, Angola – died November 28, 1978) was a Portuguese footballer. He was a leading man as a forward both for the National team as for the Sporting, were he was a member of the legendary wing of the "Cinco Violinos" ("Five Violins"), with Jesus Correia, Vasques, Albano and José Travassos.

330 goals scored in 197 league games[citation needed] for Sporting establish him as the Portuguese first division- (nowadays known as SuperLiga) All-Time-Topscorer, even overcoming so Benficas legendary striker Eusébio, who has a record of "only" 319 league goals.

He only had 20 caps for the National Team, but he scored 15 goals, since his first game, in 14 April 1938, aged 20, in a 1-1 draw with Germany, until his last appearance, in 20 March 1949, aged 31, in a 1-1 draw with Spain.

He moved to Belenenses, in 1949/50, but wasn't very happy, and then left football, to start a trainer career. He was the National Team manager, in 1961, during the last two World Cup games qualifyings, but missed his purpose.
