Fernando Daniel Belluschi (born September 10, 1983), is an Argentine football Midfielder, currently captain of Argentine giant Club Atletico River Plate. He wears jersey No. 8.
Belluschi started playing professionally at Newell's Old Boys in 2002, with whom he won the 2004 Apertura Championship. He moved to Club Atletico River Plate in 2006, where he has been compared to Dutch legend Johan Cruyff. With the departure of Marcelo Gallardo to Paris St. Germain following the 2006 Apertura, Belluschi has assumed the role of midfield general and team captain. He led River to both the Torneo Verano and Copa Revancha titles during the 2007 preseason tournament.
