FERET database
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
FERET database is the de-facto standard in facial recognition system evaluation. The Face Recognition Technology (FERET) program is managed by the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) and the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). A database of facial imagery was collected between December 1993 and August 1996. In 2003 DARPA released a high-resolution, 24-bit color version of these images. The dataset tested includes 2,413 still facial images, representing 856 individuals.
