Talk:Fenner Brockway, Baron Brockway
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Brockway appeared in the British publication Who's who until his death in 1988.
It appears that Brockway never edited Labour Elector, which seems to have folded in the 1890s ( http://www.spartacus.schoolnet.co.uk/Jlabour.htm ). Brockway did edit the ILP paper, but it was called Labour Leader. There are contradictory hits on google, but the references to Brockway editing Elector appear to be in error. In Inside The Left (his autobiography) Brockway refers to the paper repeatedly as Labour Leader. RichardQ 21:36, 13 May 2005 (UTC)
Fenner lost his Eton and Slough seat because of his affirmation of the rights of his Black and Asian constituents. He could hardly have lost it because of his Left-Wing views, since there was a swing to the Left at that election. 220.247.240.241 13:23, 28 October 2005 (UTC)
