Fenit Marina

Fenit Marina is a 130-berth marina located at Fenit Harbour, in Tralee Bay on the South of the West Coast of Ireland. Latitude 52°16‘ N. Longitude 9°52‘W. Dingle Marina is the next marina to the South, Kilrush is the next marina to the North.
The Marina and Harbour cater for leisure craft, fishing boats and commercial shipping of all sizes - 60ft on the marina; larger leisure craft are welcome in the inner harbour or on the commercial pier. Ships of up to 17,000 tonnes can berth on the commercial pier. A few pubs and restaurants are located in the village, but Tralee is the main town, the administrative capital of the County of Kerry, about 10 miles away. Fenit Marina was built in 1997, largley with the aid of E.U. funding. The Marina is owned and operated by the Tralee and Fenit Harbour Board

Saint Brendan the Navigator is honoured in Fenit by a large bronze monument. He was born nearby and is generally thought to have arrived in the Americas prior to Christopher Colombus.
