Fendall family, a prominent political family that had it's roots started when Josias Fendall (ca. 1628-1687), immigrated to Maryland in the early 1650's. He was appointed the 4th proprietary Governor of Maryland from 1656-1660.

              • Charles Edward Fendall (1821-1894) who immigrated to Oregon in 1843, and was one of the early pioneers in Yamhill County.
