A Federal Pell Grant is a Federal assistance grant awarded to students who have not earned a bachelor's or professional degree. Pell Grants give students financial aid. Other aid may be added later. In some cases, it is possible to receive a Pell Grant for attending a post-baccalaureate teacher certification program. [1]
