Fearghal McKinney

Fearghal McKinney (b. 6 July 1962, Derry) is a Northern Irish television presenter and journalist. He currently presents and reports for UTV Live.
Fearghal began his journalism working for Enniskillen-based newspaper The Impartial Reporter in the late 1980s and early 1990s. In 1994, following a brief period working for Downtown Radio, he became a reporter for UTV Live, and in 1997, got his first opportunity to anchor the main evening programme.
In 1997, Fearghal won a series of awards for his broadcast journalism, including Broadcaster of the Year in Northern Ireland, Journalist of the Year in Northern Ireland, and Regional Journalist of the Year for the United Kingdom.
In April 2003, Fearghal began hosting a Sunday afternoon current affairs series, Sunday Issue. After two series, it moved to a late evening slot on Thursday in March 2004 and was retitled The Issue.
In 2007 Fearghal was nominated for a prestigious Royal Television Society Programme Award. The category was Nations and Regions Presenter for his work with UTV's "Insight" current affairs programmes and for "UTV Live"
Fearghal is married to Maire and has three children, Kate, Anna and Martha.
