Fear, Emptiness, Despair is an album by the British band Napalm Death released in 1994. It is considered to be the first of the band's "experimental" albums, utilizing groove metal-ish riffs, black metal-like chords and an industrial metal-like song structure. The original title for this album was Under Rule, which is a lyric in the title song "State of Mind".[citation needed]
