FC Nyva Ternopil

FC Nyva Ternopil is a Ukrainian football club based in Ternopil. For the 2006-07 season, the club is taking part in the Druha Liha A. From 1992-01, Nyva Ternopil played in the Ukrainian Premier League, after being initially chosen to participate for being one of the top 9 (of 11) Ukrainian teams from the West Division of the Soviet Second League in 1991. Nyva was founded in 1978 and initially it was based in village of Pidhaytsi. Then it moved to Berezhany in 1982, before finding its as it seems permanent place in Ternopil three years later. Its games take place at Central Stadium with 18500 spectators.
Nyva Ternopil's best achievement in the Ukrainian Premier League was 6th place (1997/98).
