FC Braşov is a soccer team in the Romanian Divizia A and based in the city of Braşov. Their jersey colours are yellow and black. The team was formed in 1937 and made their initial appearance in the top division in 1957; one of their first successes was winning in 1960 the first Balkans Cup. Although they have never won the championship, they have participated in the UEFA Cup, most recently in 2001 when they defeated FC Mika Yerevan of Armenia before falling to Inter Milan of Italy. After having an unsuccessful season during 2004-2005 (finishing 15th out of 16 teams), they were relegated and played in Divizia B for 2005-2006. The team barely missed qualifying for the promotion playoff round, finishing 3rd place in Seria 1, a single point behind neighbouring team Forex Braşov.

Originally called U.A.B., the team has been known by its present name since 1990. Their home field is Silviu Ploiesteanu Stadium, formerly known as Tineretului.
