[edit] Biography

Fayray is the middle child of a family of three daughters. She started playing classical piano at the age of 4. During her childhood she listened to a lot of 70's and 80's American music with her parents which had a big influence on her musical style.

Fayray was discovered by Oosaki Hiroshi, a producer at Yoshimoto Kogyo (now vice-president).

Early in her career she decided to switch from being just a singer to songwriter also. She wrote the two couplings on "Same night, same face" and started complete self-producing with the single "MY EYES". Although her major hits were songs composed by Daisuke Asakura, her producer at the time of her debut, she still writes all her material to this day.

Fayray also acted in two TV dramas in 2000, "Nisennen no Koi" with Miho Nakayama and Takeshi Kaneshiro) and "Densetsu no Kyoushi" alongside SMAP's Masahiro Nakai.

In 2006, she traveled to New York in search of new ideas to create her ideal music.

She owns two pet dogs, Taffy, a Labrador retriever and a Minischnauzer called May.
