Fay Lanphier

Fay Elinora Lanphier (12 Dec 1905[1] - June 21, 1959[2]) was a model most noted for becoming Miss California in 1924 and Miss America in 1925.

She was born in El Dorado, California, the eldest child of Percival Caspar Lanphier and Emily Elenora Olson, with five other siblings coming after her.[3]

She married first to a Mr Spiegle, associated with the Spiegle catalog company, and secondly to Winfield Daniels in 1931, producing two daughters. She lived in Orinda, California.

Fay was also the 1925 Rose Queen. To date, she is the only person to hold both titles at the same time.
