Fax demodulator

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A fax demodulator is a device or a piece of software that is used to receive a fax when a fax machine is not present.

A common use for a fax demodulator is a fax-to-email service that delivers a digital image of the fax to an e-mail inbox.

Fax demodulators can also be used to intercept fax messages by listening in on a telephone line, though this may not be legal.
