Favrskov municipality

As of January 1, 2007 Favrskov municipality will, as the result of Kommunalreformen ("The Municipal Reform" of 2007), come into existence as a municipality (Danish, kommune) in Denmark. It will consist of the (what are currently existing, but on January 1, 2007) former municipalities of Hadsten, Hammel, Hinnerup, and Hvorslev municipalities, as well as the southern part of Langå municipality. This will create a municipality with an area of 487 km² and a total population of ca. 45,037 (2007). The new municipality will belong to the new Region Midtjylland ("Mid-Jutland Region").
